As parents of young children who didn’t sleep very well, we spent countless nights scrolling through social media, forums, and various websites to see what other parents recommended for baby goods, toys, sleeping tips, feeding tips and many other child-related topics. We wanted to be up-to-date parents who were in tune with contemporary child development practice while buying baby safe products that would educate and entertain. We wanted to take a deliberate but flexible approach to parenting and avoided judging any other parent’s choices.

What we found as we researched to the tune of late-night cries and late-night cuddles was that the challenge of baby or child product selection was like every other topic today where the range of opinions voiced across the many social media channels and kid-related websites was so broad that there really wasn’t any easy way to identify products and services which our kids would like or that we should select based on a carefully set of universally accepted criteria for selecting such things.

 

One day, two children later, we realised, like everything else related to child rearing, there were no right answers, just the right answer for our kids. 

 

We started observing which products our kids liked, and products they actually used, products they grew tired of quickly and others which did not last very long in terms of build quality. Out of that was borne Toria & Tine, the nicknames of two of our kids who traversed early childhood too close apart in years and were unwitting but fertile product testers of what mattered to them as kids.

 

On this website, you will find products which worked for us as a family. We have worked closely with our partners to not only personalise items to our own aesthetic, but also ensure that all products are safe and non-toxic.
